Coming from the lieu dit known as 'Clos de la Hutte' in the smaller appellation of Savennieres in the Loire Valley. The site was a former monastery that was first planted when the monks first planted vines in this area. The soil is more clay-based making for a more concentrated wine like those of Burgundy.
