Variety: Chenin Blanc Thibaud Boudignon is making some of the most exciting wines in the world today. Committed to strict organic practices, Boudignon calls upon his experience making wine in Burgundy and at the historic Chateau Soucherie to steer his own tiny property in the heart of Anjou and Savennieres to great heights. He has quickly become a darling of the Loire and beyond garnering the attention of top restaurants in Paris, NYC, and beyond.  It is rare and tricky to find rockstars in the world these days as so much has been discovered—prices skyrocket to auction levels and only end up in Michelin-starred restaurants. Even though the current “Le Clos de Fremine” vines were planted in 2015, the site is actually a former monastery. This Chenin is aged in barrels, 10% of which is new. Like his other Chenins, this drinks like a classified white Burgundy with plenty of aging potential.
