Pop Goes the Weasel (Lady Cocoa) is a 1975 crime drama also known simply as Lady Cocoa. Directed by Matt Cimber, the film stars Lola Falana in the title role and is a part of the blaxploitation genre that emerged during the 1970s. Synopsis: The film follows Cocoa, played by Lola Falana, a sassy and street-smart woman who has been serving time in prison. She agrees to testify against her criminal boyfriend, a notorious gangster, in exchange for her release from jail. As part of the deal, Cocoa is placed under witness protection and taken to a luxury hotel by two detectives, Ramsey (Alex Dreier) and Doug (Gene Washington), to keep her safe until her court appearance. However, Cocoa quickly proves to be more than a handful for her protectors. She enjoys her newfound freedom, going on a shopping spree and partying, while remaining unaware of the real danger that follows her.
