Cordyline australis 'Red Sensation'

A palm-like, evergreen sub-tropical tree that grows with an upright habit and will branch to produce several heads. Showy, with clusters of long, purplish red colored leaves. 10-20' tall x 5-10' wide with large panicles of small, sweet-scented flowers. in late spring to summer. Full sun to part shade. Drought tolerant likes some moisture during summer months. A great container plant. OK for seacoast if protected from direct wind.
