Shishigashira Japanese Maple is a stunning tree with yellow bark that brightens in winter. Grown in zones 5-8, it reaches a size of 10-15 ft. Heavily curled green leaves give an interesting texture to this compact, shrubby tree. Foliage becomes purple-red with orange-red patterns in fall, is most intense in full sun, and is less likely to sunburn than other varieties.
