1956 Rolex GMT 6542 with Tropical Serpico Y Laino Dial

Case & Bracelet Excellent case that has been polished in the past. The bakelite bezel is cracked at the 12, 5 and 7 o'clock sections of the bezel but is original to the watch. There is some light discoloration on the bezel due to age. The caseback is stamped: 6542 IV 56 Excellent Shell Cordovan Strap Dial Very Good Gilt Chapter Ring Tropical Serpico Y Laino Dial. Most of the lume has flaked off the dial with age. There is some light chipping on the dial above the R in Rolex, to the right of the 5 o'clock marker and, over the last S in SWISS. The black portion of the dial has aged to a brown hue. The hands have been relumed at some point but the 24 hour hand appears to be original. Accessories None The watch is running at COSC spec.
