On a vacation to Cape Cod one year, we took a drive to see the beautiful lighthouses that I love to photograph. We drove into the small township of Truro, Massachusetts where my husband almost got our rental car stuck going down a narrow sandy path that I found out soon enough was not meant for automobiles! The day I visited Highland Lighthouse was picture-perfect. As I approached the historic structure, I felt a sense of awe. This lighthouse, also known as Cape Cod Light, has been guiding sailors since 1797. It stands tall and proud, a beacon of hope and safety. The lighthouse is part of the Cape Cod National Seashore, a place where nature and history blend seamlessly.
