PHI PENTA SPIRAL

Phi Penta Spiral is a subtle spiral created from the assembly of nine geometric solids, “phi penta solids”. This is a geometric solid that expressed the Golden Ratio, or Phi. The sculpture is a combination of two copies of the sculpture, Twist which is made from five phi penta solids, and a fragment of Phi Pent Star, which is made from five copies of Twist. Each piece has its own distinctive character, with a different arrangement of the same geometric solids. These shapes can invoke a sense of familiarity that may be due to their connection through the use of the Golden Ratio, which is a frequently occurring pattern in nature.
