Exceptional 19th C. Dutch Ship Dry Dock w/ Figures Oil SIGNED Impressionist
This listing is for the Exceptional 19th Century Dutch Painting of a Dry Dock Scene w/ Figures pictured above.About this work:A true gem - a beautiful bustling town scene with a ship in a dry dock, various figures, and several buildings.Judging by the architecture and attire, the work is likely of Dutch origin. It is signed in the lower right, but I was unable to discern what it reads. The work is very well done, as emphasized by the detail and craftsmanship of the many figures in this scene. Although I can’t make out the signature, it is likely that of a well-known/listed Dutch artist from the latter half of the 19th century. It is housed in a modern gilt wood Italian frame.Provenance:Private collection, PASize:12.5 inches tall by 10.25 inches wide (painting)16.25 inches tall by 14 inches wide (frame)Condition: Very good overall antique condition. Typical minor surface wear. Restoration difficult to detect under blacklight. Typical wear to frame. It is ready to be displayed and enjoyed!
