Black cherry sampling/stirring spoon - 12"

This spoon was sculpted from wood purchased from a small-scale sawmill operation in Montgomery County, Indiana. The small bowl at the end is ideal for sampling dishes as you cook.  The utensil has been soaked in food-safe mineral oil and buffed with wax from our bees. The glossy finish will eventually fade with use and be replaced with muted color variations and a fine, velvety patina. You may treat it periodically with mineral oil or another food-safe oil to sharpen colors if you desire.
