Evergreen Canvas

I just love Evergreen trees, and I love that they can live through the winter, and still be green! For this duo (pictured here in my dining room!) I wanted to make somethign beautiful, that could be left up through the seasons. Big pieces of art are investments, and I wanted to create artwork that I would be happy looking at in there forever. While these pieces may seem simple and easy – flowers and a pine tree – the hidden meaning behind them is fortitude. For the Edelweiss to withstand the tough mountain climate, for the Evergreens to withstand both the winters and the heat. Your guests will enjoy their beauty, but you will know that these sketches are a quiet way to explore you to persevere. stylist's tip: string twine or ribbon through your canvas hangers on the back before you hang them. We still used the canvas hanging kits to securely hang these, and then added the twine just for looks. Secure with a tack if you don't have a picture rail!
