Knees to the Snow Canvas

I just love painting abstract landscapes, and I continued the fun with this duo – Shore and Snow. My friend Becca joked that they looked so similar to Knees to the Earth that they needed to be "Knees to the..." and after we all called them this for so long, it just stuck! For this duo, I actually painted the same scene, just in two different seasons. It represents that we are the same person, no matter what is around us, and even though we are constant, things look different. Both beautiful in their own right, just different. Knees to the Snow has a quiet Winter sky, a dusting of snow flurries over pine trees, and a thick blanket of ice and snow over the water (which you would only know was water if you'd seen it's companion piece!). It can be enjoyed alone, or next to Knees to the Shore, or switch them our based on the seasons! Like a sweet artwork magic trick.
