The story: Early on when we first started dating, one of the first trips my future husband and I took was to where he went to college, in the Palouse. We drove up from Boise and the scenery changed five times in five hours, culminating in surprising rolling hills under a sunset with no mountains in the distance and nothing to obscure the wonder.
