Seascape Study III: Views at Punta Mita

This small seascape painting captures the glowing sunset sea and sky views from Punta Mita, MX. It's a little art vacation for the mind and spirit while we stay at home- reminding us of the beauty that still exists and is to come.  It is a 6x8 inch original gouache painting on Arches smooth cotton paper, with a small white margin.  The colors are vibrant and beautiful, as shown in the first picture. Every effort has been made to portray colors as accurately as possible but please be aware there may be slight differences from your screen to real life.  Punta Mita is a magical seaside haven in Mexico with endless views of sea and sky. I always take a thousand photographs when I am there and those pictures inspired this small series of studies during the last few months when I was dreaming of a beach vacation. I painted the same scene in a variety of different ways, with slightly different sunset and ocean colors- four in gouache, like this one, and one in acrylic. Seascape Study I: View
