October Magic® White Shi-Shi™ Camellia

Camellia sasanqua ‘Green 02-004’ PP27553   October Magic Camellias are most notable for their unique and beautiful flower patterns. The White Shi Shi is no exception. Unlike its hot pink familiar counterpart, the shishi gashira camellia, this camellia boasts pure snow-white double flowers while maintaining a compact hedge-like nature reaching around 3’ in height and only slightly larger in width. Akin to all other fall blooming camellias they do well in sun or shade and prefer moist but well-drained acidic soil.  Be sure to use pine bark soil conditioner as your planting medium when installing camellias as they prefer well drained soil during the first couple of years. They’re roots do not like to remain excessively wet.
