Landing in the Bay Going out to the Misty Fjord National Monument in a float plane is a truly amazing experience and one that every person should do in their lifetime.  There are many companies that fly float planes here; they are so common that most of us don't even pay attention to them anymore.  When my siblings and I were little we didn't know planes could land on dirt, so the first time one tried to do just that with us inside it was a shock to say the least.  We all jumped to our feet and ran to the back door when my sister screamed "Jump we're gonna crash"  Mother was mortified, but dad was laughing so hard he couldn't talk.
