The essential Survival 1 Foundation skills Intro 1 Day course will enable you to out into the wilderness and get home safely.  This course is a foundation level for folks with little to no experience in the outdoors. Weekend topics include: Survival progression & routines Hitches, knots and lashings Quick shelters Basic Fire: matches, lenses, lighters, ferro rods, tinder Types of fire lays   Maine Primitive Skills School offers campsites to students during their stay at no extra charge. When preparing to arrive, plan as if you were going on a comfortable car camping experience. You will have easy access to your vehicles during meals and before and after course times.
