Jasmine is known as the King of Flowers, and for good reason. Its enticing and heady aroma boasts wonderful projection and longevity, and adds a touch of luxury to any perfume it is used in. Used across cultures for hundreds of years, jasmine is both intensely desired and extraordinarily expensive, due to its low oil yield and high demand. In 16th century Florence, the time and place that inspired this perfumed castile soap, jasmine was indispensable to the palette of the perfumers and apothecaries who counted the nobility amongst their clientele. This regal flower oil was combined with the essences of other flowers, spices, and citruses - for example, Calabrian bergamot. Here, the vibrant green citrus has been joined most agreeably with jasmine absolute to create an intoxicating and alluring fragrance fit for a king.
