They are the makers behind famed winemaker Martin Texier’s natural wine project, La Boutanche, which seeks to make easy drinking and well-priced natural wines perfect for the everyday. Cyril runs a large estate of vineyards, including a small parcel of old vine syrah and cabernet sauvignon he rents to Jean-Mi. Jean-Mi also runs a cave cooperative for winemakers called “Les Vignerons de Quissac,” named for the small village nearby. This wine is a result of Cyril’s fruit and Jean-Mi’s cellar.  Dry with a bright acid kick while still delivering an unctuous texture. Fruity and deep with notes of overripe blackberries.
