Tephrocactus molinensis | Grafted Plants On Trichocereus Pachanoi
The tephrocactus group is my absolute favorite in the opuntia cactus genus. This guy looks like I dragged him up from a coral reef. It is cold hardy to 20 degrees F or so...which I'll never know for sure since it's always a steamy oven here. That being said, this plant has never been happy here for more than a year - so we decided to try grafting it. What a great decision! This plant is much happier and long lasting on a graft. We constructed the grafts to be low enough that the tephrocactus will eventually obscure the grafting stock. 5" pots, shipped bare root.
