*This is a fragile specimen--Please read dimensions and care notes!* This is a lovely unpolished specimen of chrysocolla, a bright turquoise blue mineral. It is intergrown with little botryoidal pops of dark green malachite—this is considered a triple pseudomorph due to its unusual growth formations. This is a rare and unique specimen, as it is a 3 stage pseudomorph: chrysocolla after malachite, after azurite. The delicate needles seen here (and closer in macro view) are the visual hallmark of the original azurite. These clusters are accented by delicate raw edges, smooth curves, and strongly contrasting color zones. The botryoidal malachite is a subsequent layer of growth, forming tiny globular clusters. There are also white areas throughout lacking pigment, giving this cluster a third unique color. This particular specimen has beautiful color contrast and a very striking visual impact!
