Mixing Techniques

The Mixing Technique Course will be a 2 HOUR long lesson via ZOOM that revolves around 60s Soul recordings.  Every little detail from vocal saturation & texture, vocal arrangement.  When and where to apply distortion + the multiple styles of distortion. Guitar processing & pedals that were commonly used from that era.  EQing!!! I'll be going over how I use Eq to give vocals and instruments space in the mix, whether I want them to be more "background vocals" or present lead vocals and the Eq curves I apply to cut out unwanted frequencies.  Arrangement on how to leave the right amount of space and not overcrowd the sample. Sometimes our strongest melodies can get masked by other instruments all by simply not giving the right melody space to live in the mix. How to appropriately use in the box plug-ins to authentically mix in the stylings of a vintage recording. I'll be going over TONS more and answering everyone's questions on the topic.
