This special double-stone necklace has a milky blue-white dendritic opal on top and a gorgeous, flashy, navy blue pietersite stone on the bottom. These two high-contrast stones compliment each other beautifully! The stones have a simple link-to-link hinge joining them together. The pendant hangs on a chain of mixed patterns, including simple round-link chain, Byzantine, curb and paperclip chain. - Total chain length is about 20.5" but it can be clasped shorter along the paperclip chain- Length of the double-stone drop is 3-3/4"- Medium lobster clasp White dendritic opal is a milky white to blue-white stone with areas ranging from opaque to translucent. The "dendrites" are made of black/brown manganese or metallic oxides and often resemble ferns or branches. Pietersite is also called "eagle's eye" and was named in honor of Sid Pieters who discovered it in 1962 in Namibia, Africa.
