E0053 - Sterling Silver with Larimar Heart Pendant - 8.48 grams

Larimar is only found in the Dominican Republic and was created in the vent shaft of a volcano.  There is a limited supply and Larimar is becoming harder to source. Once the mine is depleted, this mineral will surely rise in value.  This heart shaped Larimar stone has a beautiful sky blue color with interesting patterns. This stone has some green tinted decolorizations around the edges and ash inclusions on both the left and right sides. The sides are polished. It is a nice thick chunk of Larimar in a prong setting. Note that the maker added a spot of adhesive on the back at the top. This was done to prevent the heart from falling out of the prong setting. It is visible in the photo of the back of the pendant. The pendant's bail is stamped 925 for Sterling Silver. Its not a very good stamp, but it's there.
