Nerite Snail - Nerita tesselatta - 6, 12 and 48 Lots

Nerites tesselatta is a very popular snail among our many repeat customers.  Once these snails get accustomed to the aquarium environment they will consume large quantities of algae especially along the top edge of the glass. There are some evolutionary reasons as to why some snails stay underwater or at the waters edge whereas others do not.  We offer just two species of nerites both of which stay "in-bounds" and are excellent choices for the reef aquarium.  Size is about 3/8 to 1/2 inch.
