Dating anywhere from the 1930s to the 1950s, here's a celluloid toy, made in Japan (hallmarked), depicting an Indian in a canoe. The arms and head are articulated, a bit loose, but when placed in the right position, show that the Indian is doing a nice job of paddling. Size is 3-1/2" long x 2-1/4" wide (paddle to side of canoe). Condition is very nice with no dents or dings - just the looseness in the arms due to a slack string. The top of the paddle is open and no, it was not attached to the other hand; I have a feeling this area was meant as an airhole but might have come undone. Absolutely adorable!
