And the maritime influence is obvious – there is a strong sense of the sea in the wine, as well as a freshness and oyster shell purity.   Prolonged lees aging (Sur Lie) and give the wines extra texture and richness. This is intense, pure, ripe Muscadet that still shows all the zingy acidity and minerality you expect from the appellation – and what makes it the perfect pairing for oysters!
