Scabriscutellum hammadi

Scabriscutellum hammadi is a Middle Devonian trilobite from Morocco. This specimen has the typical smallish cephalon with protruding eyes, pleurons on the thorax that extend into spines and a ribbed, fan -like pygidium. The trilobite is 2.0 inches long (if flattened- it is arched over the matrix) and 1.22 inches wide. The matrix and trilobite measure 2.45 by 2.55 by 1.76 inches. The specimen has a repair running across the base of the cephalon. Well-preserved Holochroal lenses are present in both eyes.
