Iron Meteorite Fragment (Tektite Fragment), (Impact Rock), Genuine, Rough, Worldwide Shipping (lot of 10 randomly selected pieces per purchase) For sale is an impact fragment of a meteorite strike (also known as Tektite).  A tektite is a rare natural glass formed when an asteroid strikes the earth.  These fragments come from a variety of well-known meteor strikes including the Nandan strike (China) and Sikhote-Alin strike (Russian Federation).   The fragments measure about 3/4 inches long (2cm) long and may differ slightly from what is pictured in the photos (i.e. some are rounder, some are flatter). The fragments weigh approximately 5 to 7 grams a piece.
