These fragments come from a variety of well-known meteor strikes including the Nankan strike (China) and Sikhote-Alin strike (Russian Federation).   The fragments measure about 3/4 inches long (2cm) long and may differ slightly from what is pictured in the photos (i.e. some are rounder, some are flatter). The fragments weigh approximately 5 to 7 grams a piece.
