Much happens with the Rolex Datejust ref. 16013, which while easily appreciated for its Datejust qualities, is a true wonder with its yellow gold bezel and crown against its famous 36mm stainless steel oyster-type case. When launched in 1977, ref. 16013 represented the next generation of two-tone Datejusts. Departing from the famous ref. 1601, which included steel and two-tone watches, the then-new 16013 introduced to the Datejust design family a unique two-tone reference number and an improved mechanical movement that helped ensure the watch a lasting place in Rolex's catalog until the late 1980s.
