Tibetan singing bowls are a type of bell used for healing and meditation. They vibrate and produce a harmonic tone when played. To create sound with a singing bowl, gently rub the mallet/ wooden stick that is included, in circular motion against the bowl's rim. It is said that the vibrational profile of each singing bowl produces a different effect. The Singing Bowls are all hand made and it takes much skill and talent to create these beautiful items. The artisans who create these are so skilled they do not even have to measure the thickness of the metal they can tell it’s thickness by it’s sound while they are pounding them into shape. The technique used to create this bowl in particular is an ancient wisdom, that produces a tone unrivaled by most. The harmonic of this bowl lasts for several minutes after it is started.
