Icosahedron Dodecahedron Nest - 32mm

The Dodecahedron and Icosahedron are technically called 'duals' of each other. As you can see here  when the vertexes of a dodecahedron are extended to 'stellate' it, it fits perfectly  inside its larger dual icosahedron. This process can be continued in both directions to infinity. These two '5 symmetry' forms are critical to the processes of organic life as they are part of the spiral structure of the DNA, (as can be seen in a cross section of the DNA).
