They are 'duals' of each other as is shown in this model where the innermost Icosa is stellated to produce the Dodeca that is again stellated to produce the larger Icosa. The Icosa has 12 vertexes and 20 faces whilst the Dodeca has 12 faces and 20 vertexes. The lines here are a little thick at 2mm but this makes them stronger for printing in the full color sandstone.
