The elliptical seal with a softly rounded back and a hole pierced longitudinally for suspension, the base deeply engraved with a complex motif of horned animals. Medium: Black Serpentine Dimensions: Length: 1 3/4 inches (4.44 cm) Condition: A minor chip to one edge that does not detract, overall Intact and in excellent condition. A superb example. Provenance: Stewart Giles (1951-1993) private collection, acquired in London between 1978 and 1982, then by family descent.
