For sale is an Australian Koroit boulder opal pendant.  This opal was mined in the Koroit opal fields in the Paroo shire in Southwest Queensland, Australia.  This opal is simply magical.  The opal is an elongated teardrop shape.  The matrix (boulder) is rich chocolate brown, and is threaded with an intricate web of wildly colorful opal fire.  The opal is subtle in dim light, and flashes with shimmering, shifting color as you move it in bright light or sunlight.  The opal is heavy on cherry red, purple and fuchsia, which are some of the most rare and prized hues for this lovely gemstone.  The opal also flashes with peacock blue, lime green, tangerine and vivid yellow.  This opal creates an unusual glittering effect when you move it in the light.  Please view the video to see the full beauty of this opal.  The opal is set in a sterling silver mounting, and is secure in hand-crafted prongs.  The pendant has a large bail to accommodate your chain.
