Flame Blue Garden Phlox is a native compact perennial with excellent branching and stiff stems covered with dark green lance-shaped foliage.  Dark blue buds open to large fragrant white pinwheel flowers with lavender-blue flares and  bloom from mid summer into fall.  Best flowering in full sun and rich, moist, well-drained soils.  Flame Blue has good resistance to powdery mildew.
