2023 North Fork Chardonnay
Winemaking Facts Fermentation + Bottling: Shepherd's Run Tasting notes: Brioche, Macintosh, Manchego ABV: 12% Brix at harvest: 20.3 TA: 5.6 g/L pH: 3.52 Winemaker's notes: Fermented and aged in stainless steel. In contrast to the more traditional oak barrels, aging in stainless steel helps preserve the bright, citrusy aromatics of Chardonnay. Leaving the wine on the lees during the aging process develops a subtle creaminess on the palate. The final result is a Chardonnay that is refreshing and vibrant on the nose, but still has the rich, complex fullness on the palate that is a hallmark of the variety.
