
Green and Red Ribbon
This is the first ribbon that I have ever designed. Graft Vs. Host Disease (GVHD) is a complicated and painful disease that can affect several parts of the body in different ways. During my research, I discovered that there isn’t a specific color representing GVHD, but I did find a red bracelet used to raise awareness for the disease. Since you can only get GVHD after having a transplant, and because transplants are symbolized by the color green, I felt it was fitting to add a touch of green at the very beginning of this ribbon. Wearing a hardship ribbon can serve as a very powerful and symbolic expression of one’s journey through adversity. It allows individuals to share their personal struggles, triumphs, or experiences, with a particular hardship, be it a health challenge, in memory of a loved one, or other life-altering event. By wearing a ribbon, you may seek solidarity with others facing similar challenges, raise awareness about a specific issue, or simply find a sense of emp
