Assumption of Risk Clause
You’ll want to include this clause in your contract if your work entails a risk of injury, loss, or damage to anyone who engages with it. Through this clause, your client will voluntarily participate and accept the inherent risks of your work together. Let’s look at it this way: if you are an adventure or city videographer that often work on mountaintops ledges or galavant across busy streets, this clause will ensure your client understands they are assuming the risk of the activity and therefore your business won't be liable for the medical bills of your client because they've acknowledged the risks. You handle your business with care, and by including this clause in your contracts, you’re clear and unambiguous about the risks you may expose your clients to when working together and protect yourself in the process. This is an ADDED clause to insert into one of our main service agreement contract templates. This is not a stand-alone contract template or waiver.
