Advanced Beginner - Seams n' Skills

Do you understand the basics of sewing, but want to learn how to finish seams and tackle skills such as sewing a machine stitched buttonhole and zipper? In this 2 hour class, you'll learn various beginner seam finishing methods and when to use them and you'll practice the techniques yourself. We'll also cover how to sew an machine stitched buttonhole and how to sew a standard zipper. *The goal of the class is to demonstrate and practice skills on scraps of fabric and not to make a garment or project. Skills you will learn: The skills you will learn in this class are how to finish seams 6 ways.  The seam finishing techniques we will cover are: Pinked seams Zig zag stitch seams French seams  Bias bound seams And brief information on using a serger to finish your seams We'll also learn to sew a machine stitched buttonhole and a standard zipper and an invisible zipper.   Skills Expected: If you know how to thread and use a sewing machine and have made a few simple projects, you're good
