Advanced Beginner - Easy Pants

Yes, you can make pants! In this advanced beginner class, we will be making a classic elastic waist pants pattern. It's the ideal starting point to learn basic pant construction with pockets! If you've already taken our beginner Essential Shirt class, this is the perfect class to take next. Students will make a unisex pair of simple pull up pants with an elastic waistband and pockets!  In the first session we'll learn the basics of reading the pattern, and learn to trace your pattern and cut your fabrics and depending on time, we will start the first steps of sewing the pants. Then during the next session, you'll finish sewing the pants.  You'll collect your pattern on the first night of class.  Skills you will learn:  How to read and trace and cut a sewing pattern How to sew / construct pants  How to sew pockets How to sew an elastic waistband  How to hem pants Skills expected: This is an advanced beginner class.
