Beginner - The Simple Tote Bag

A simple tote bag is the best beginner projects! It's fun and easy to make and super useful.  In this class you'll learn to sew and make a lined tote bag with handles. This introductory class will break down the basics how to use a sewing machine and make an excellent tote bag that you can use everyday.    Skills you will learn:  The parts of a sewing machine and how to use it How to sew corners How to line a tote bag How to topstitch webbing handles onto your bag  Skills expected: None!  Materials: We make it easy on you! You can purchase a materials kit for this class. You'll have a choice of fabrics for each class. Just choose in-store pickup at checkout, but you'll actually pick out and receive the materials at class. Choose the kit for "simple tote." If you don't get a supply kit, you will need: 1 yards of medium weight woven fabric a quilting cotton or like denim or canvas 1.5 yards of 1.5" in Cotton Webbing in Natural Materials provided: A sewing machine, coordinating thread
