Origin and Description:The variegated clone of Hoya merrillii, specifically the inner-variegated form, is a rare and sought-after cultivar of the species native to the Philippines. As with the original species, this cultivar was first collected by Elmer Drew Merrill on Mindoro Island. It shares the same glossy, heart-shaped leaves as its non-variegated counterpart but with striking inner variegation, where the center of each leaf is a creamy white or yellow, contrasting beautifully against the darker green edges. The plant produces the same clusters of fragrant, star-shaped flowers in shades of yellow and cream, enhancing its ornamental appeal. Natural Habitat:Like the standard Hoya merrillii, the inner-variegated clone is native to the lowland forests of Mindoro Island in the Philippines. It thrives as an epiphyte in humid, shaded environments, typically growing on trees near water sources. Care Instructions: Light: This variegated form requires bright, indirect light to maintain it
