The group formed in 1987 when all the members were in high school. The group's lead singer and guitarist Deke Dickerson has had a long career in music through his groups The Whippersnappers, The Ecco-Fonics, The Dave and Deke Combo, and The Go-Nuts. Other members include Steve "King of Men" Mace, Steve "Sammy" Rager, and Chris Sprague AKA "Gringo Starr" AKA "Sugarballs" from Los Straitjackets & Nick Lowe.
