Commemorative type issued to celebrate Trajan's victories over the Dacians. Certified by NGC to Ch AU. Pedigree: Ex Numismatic Naumann, 6/6/21, Lot 561. Lustrous fields with detailed Imperial portrait and presentation of trophy of arms & seated captive.  Obverse: IMP NERVA TRAIANVS AVG GER DACICVS, laureate head right with drapery on far shoulder.  Reverse: P M R P COS V P P, Dacian seated right in front of trophy of arms (shields) wearing cuirass & helmet. Trophy of arms comes from the ancient Roman tropaeum, military victories which were commemorated with a display of actual captured arms, armour and standards. No International Shipping.
