Extremely Fine Roman Empire silver denarius coin. Struck for Emperor Marcus Aurelius at the Rome Mint. Approx. 17mm, 3.33g, RIC 215, RSC 136. Dated denarius TR P XXIIII = Dec 169 to Dec 170 CE. Well struck with superb portrait and detailed figure of Fortuna. Certified by NGC to XF. Obverse: M ANTONINVS AVG TR P XXIIII, mature laureate head right with full beard.   Reverse: COS III, Fortuna standing left holding rudder in right hand and cornucopia on left hand. Fortuna was the goddess of fortune and the personification of luck in Roman religion.
