Emperor Marcus Aurelius dated Roman Empire denarius, 177 CE, 3.58g, RIC 380, RSC 442. Silver denarius minted from Autumn to Dec 9, 177. Short term emission with very few types released. Certified by NGC to Ch XF, well struck with nice surfaces. Obverse: M ANTONINVS AVG GERM SARM, mature laureate head right with full beard. Reverse: PIET AVG TR P XXXI IMP VIIII COS III P P, Pietas, veiled, standing left holding patera and scepter. Pietas is a Goddess of duty, loyalty and piety.
