Evening Gouache Still Life with Lindsay Stripling

THURSDAY, APRIL 17, 6:30 - 8:30pm PTThis is an in-person workshop that will be held outside at CfM Art Room:4035 Judah St, San Francisco, next door to our shop!This workshop will focus on a few basics of having and using gouache, I will show how I use gouache, we will touch on some basics around what sets it apart from watercolor, how to build a palette using honey and a watercolor tin and then we will work on paintings using a still life that will be softly lit either inside or outside in the backyard with the changing evening light to work on layering and color mixing. I will provide headlamps should we need them, and have some instructional sheets/worksheets for you to use in class and take home. We will discuss different methods for recording what you are seeing or filling a page and then I will be there with you to answer questions and talk about different aspects of painting with gouache!
