Sketchbook Class with Lindsay Stripling

TUESDAY, MARCH 11, 6 - 8pm PTThis is an in-person workshop at CfM Art Room:4035 Judah St, San Francisco, next door to our shop!In this session we'll walk through brainstorming, using reference, leaving ideas for your future self to pull from, and working to fill a full spread with your ideas. You will fill every part of the page and be able to look back and be inspired by your ability to follow through on an idea, or many. I will also read aloud one of my favorite short stories, and we'll talk about capturing images as they pass through your mind. MATERIALS NEEDEDThese are the supplies you'll need to bring for class—feel free to supplement this list with other options you love or have on hand! Pencils! Whatever you like to use. I prefer a .9mm HB or 2B mechanical pencil and a Blackwing Classic—something easy, and a little softer A 3"x5" Moleskine lined notebook, or a similar small notebook you can throw in your pocket or purse. We'll use this to set up a practice of catching ideas.
